Anti-Aging treatments are one of the most popular, non-surgical cosmetic options available worldwide. It will temporarily reduce or eliminate frown lines, forehead creases, thick neckbands and crowfeet near the eyes. By temporarily blocking the nerve impulses, the muscles that cause lines relax, giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance.
How Do Anti-Aging Treatments Work?
Used in a cosmetic medical setting as an injectable form of sterile, purified protein, small doses of anti-aging injection block the release of a chemical called acetylcholine by nerve cells that signal muscle contraction. These few tiny injections block the nerve impulse, relax the muscle and the dynamic line overlying the muscle is smoothed away. Since the injection only relaxes the muscle beneath the injection site, it has no other effect on other elements of facial expression.
The effects of Anti-Aging treatments usually last 3-4 months, at which time another injection is required if the continued result is desired. After several treatments, the effects often begin to last longer. Repeated use is truly anti-aging.

The plump appearance of healthy skin is due to hyaluronic acid. Babies feel so nice because their skin is full of hyaluronic acid. As you age, levels of natural hyaluronic acid in the skin decrease with time, sun exposure and lifestyle. The result is the appearance of lines, furrows and wrinkles. Non-surgical contouring and volumisation can correct lines, improve lip definition, and address the signs of aging from the inside out.
How do non-surgical contouring and volumisation treatments work?
All young skin has one thing in common: hyaluronic acid. Found in all skin tissue and identical from species to species, this building block of sorts, fills out the space between collagen and elastin fibres in the skin, holding in water and maintaining the skin’s volume. With age, levels of hyaluronic acid in the skin decrease, so we end up with furrows, lines and often thinner lips. Volumisation treatments improve the depression in the skin, and the appearance is considerably softer or the line may be eliminated.
Volumisation and non-surgical contouring treatments are placed directly into the skin using an ultra-fine needle. A local anaesthetic block can also be administered. Furthermore, if the patient does not like the result, it can be reversed by dissolving the treatment with a natural enzyme and within hours- the skin will return to its former state as it appeared before the injection.

Tips for non-surgical contouring & volumisation
- Avoid aspirin, vitamin E and essential fatty acids for seven days before your appointment, as this will minimise the chance of any bruising
- Avoid ibuprofen and anti-inflammatory drugs three days before your treatment
- Avoid ginkgo biloba for three days before your treatment
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment
- If you are on blood thinners or have bruising problems, please notify us before your treatment
- Laser and facial treatments may be performed two weeks after your treatment
- Any bruising can be covered with mineral makeup or concealers
- Avoid these treatments within 2 weeks of important social engagements

Matrix PDO Threads are another method of tightening and thickening your skin. They are a type of single PDO filament, are smooth and without barbs.
Matrix PDO Threads are inserted into the sub dermal level, in a mesh-like pattern, to promote the creation of new collagen. The threads activate collagen synthesis which produces a gradual skin thickening, skin tightening and rejuvenation effect.
They are minimally invasive and can also be used multiple times.
What are Matrix PDO threads made from?
Our mono threads are made from Polydioxanone – an absorbable polymer. This material is both flexible and durable.
The threads become a support structure for your face, allowing collagen production to increase. Overtime, the threads are absorbed by the body.
How do Matrix PDO threads tighten the skin?
They induce natural collagen production, which creates a tightening effect. This effect may last for 6-12 months.
Results may be seen in 6 weeks and will continue to improve over 2 to 6 months. While the threads slowly dissolve, their effects may last up to 12 months.
